A super little show with big goals

We know how important it is to keep it clean around our neighbourhood. So if you’re looking for a fantastic way to encourage the kids to chip in and do their part to help keep Tarneit beautiful, we may have just the ticket.

A Hero’s Guide to Saving the Planet is a fantastic and super accessible show from the fertile creative minds at WIT Incorporated, an innovative theatre company based in Footscray.

This April, they’re bringing the exploits of environmental superheroes Captain Eco and his trusty sidekick The Green Defender to Tarneit, in a race against time to discover who has been covering the streets of Wyndham with litter.

Theatre is a fantastic way to present the message that protecting the environment is everybody’s personal responsibility, and with the help of a guide book audiences of all ages get to learn directly about recycling, reusing and reducing waste.

This free show is happening Tuesday April 3 between 10am and 11.30am at the Penrose Promenade Community Centre, thanks to WIT Incorporated and Wyndham City’s Environment Team. Bookings are essential and can be made via email or by calling 03 9742 0777.

Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult... but it’s as good an opportunity to brush up on the basics of green living as any we’ve heard!
