Wild Nights at Werribee Zoo this July!

Tarneit is blessed to be within such close proximity to one of Australia’s – if not the world’s – premiere wildlife experiences, the Werribee Open Range Zoo. Opened in 1983, it has gone from strength to strength as a tourist attraction with its distinctive safari bus tour and proximity to Melbourne.

Now Werribee Open Range Zoo is encouraging everyone to get a little wild with its Wild Nights winter school holidays program. Over eight nights in July, visitors will be able to experience the zoo come to life after dark, watch dazzling fire performers and lantern parades and even toast marshmallows by the campfire.

Beyond the standard entry, there is the Cirque Africa package bringing all the energy and magic of African culture to the Big Top in a 30 minute acrobatic show, and you can even double up on the fun with a special one hour Dusk Safari Tour to take in as well.

Hot chocolates for the little ones and mulled wine for the grown ups plus warm winter food will all be available on the night, so pull on the gloves and beanies and get ready for some night time wildness!

Here’s what you’ll enjoy as part of the standard entry:

5.30pm – 6.30pm
Fire Performers at Main Entrance

6.45pm – 6.55pm
Animals’ Goodnight Ceremony at Main Entrance

7.00pm – 7.30pm
