Where would we be without the dedicated individuals that ensure we’re looked after in the event of unforseen emergencies? The selfless efforts of those who operate our essential services deserve to be acknowledged and celebrated, and the 2018 Truganina Fire Brigade Open Day is your chance to do so in person.
On Sunday October 14 Truganina Fire Brigade opens its doors to the community it serves, allowing residents of Wyndham to meet the teams behind not only the fireys that protect us against one of nature’s most fearsome elements, but also members of Victoria Police, Ambulance Victoria, and the State Emergency Service.
Also in attendance will be members from Parks Victoria, the Volunteer Coast Guard, Wyndham City Council and more. Kids will love the equipment displays and staging of the brigade’s specialist response capability, plus there’ll be Captain Koala and Charlie the Firehouse Dog teaching about fire safety with Firefighter April, kids activities, a vintage fire truck, and much more.
The Truganina Fire Brigade’s Annual Open Day is free and will be held at the Brigade’s headquarters, corner of Sunset Views Boulevard and Leakes Road Tarneit this Sunday from 10am. Check out their Facebook page for more!
