Be there for the first ever Tarneit Night Market

Tarneit is getting a little bit of the big city vibe this month with the launch of its first ever Night Market! Kicking off on Friday March 23, it promises to be something the whole family can enjoy.

Founded in part to celebrate the diverse communities of Melbourne’s west, the Market will be a showcase of variety and flavour with selected musicians, handmade crafts and cuisines from all over the world for you to sample.

Attendees can expect experiences ranging from an Ethiopian coffee ceremony to Lion dancing and Henna body art, and even pony rides for the children.

According to Cr Tony Hooper, Wyndham City’s Arts, Culture and Heritage representative, this inaugural event is ‘an opportunity to create a unique market experience featuring tastes, crafts and music from around the world.’

‘The idea,’ he says, ‘is to emulate the variety enjoyed at city night markets... but with a unique neighbourhood feel, providing local musicians, artisans and businesses with an opportunity to showcase their work while providing residents with free family entertainment close to home.’

The Tarneit Night Market will be happening on the grounds of the Penrose Promenade Community Centre, Friday March 23. Get along and enjoy a night like no other near you in Orchard!
