Save it for a rainy day

Melbourne’s weather can be famously temperamental, so it helps to have a back up plan for keeping children (or the young at heart!) entertained when the clouds roll in.

Luckily for residents, the outer west is well equipped for wet weather days, with a huge array of indoor play centres and activities to keep kids happy through rain, hail or more rain.

Orchard is in close proximity to many of these indoor activity hubs, but here are our top choices to save for a rainy day:

Three Sixty Trampoline Park

Defy the law of gravity at this safety guaranteed trampoline haven. Whether traditional jumping or team sports such as dodge ball are your speed, you can treat your inner jumper to a full day of fun. With options for mini-jumpers as well as a virtual reality zone, there is something for everyone.

1103 Western Highway, Ravenhall

Bumble Beez

Equipped with two great slides, bridges, tunnels and ball pit this colourful place gives you plenty of things to monkey about with and is sure to transform your rainy day blues into a sunny disposition! At a very reasonable price, and with a well-stocked kiosk, this is the perfect place to give parents a break. This venue is best suited for a younger audience, and is not far from Werribee Open Range Zoo if the sun reappears.

27 Loop Road, Werribee

This facility has all your aquatic needs met, with laps pools and all the features any aquatic centre has, but with a little extra for the little ones. The Aqua-Playground is a great play area with many waterslides, wet-area equipment, water cannons and shallow pools. There are some height and age restrictions for certain features, so best to check their website to avoid any disappointment.

80-82 Derrimut Rd, Hoppers Crossing

No matter the weather there are plenty of great activities in Tarneit and surrounding areas. Make sure to follow Orchard on Facebook to keep up to date with our recommendations on things to do in your area.
