Everyone loves a good park. What if you could make your favourite park even better? That’s the thinking behind the Wyndham Park Redevelopment, a major initiative set to transform the space into a recreation and events attraction of regional significance.

The $11.4 million project, supported by a $3.2 million grant made available through the Victorian Government’s Growing Suburbs Fund, is intended to not only expand the functional usability of the park, but also to protect the area near the river’s edge with elevated boardwalks.

Wyndham City Council encourages all to have a look at the draft for themselves. The proposed upgrades include an adventure play space, a nature play space, an events lawn, and a dedicated section telling the story of the site’s indigenous heritage. There’ll also be a fenced-off dog path, all new facilities including improved cycling access, plus improved access and more besides!

The public are being encouraged to participate in a Community Feedback program, which is open for comments up to December 8. To see the draft in full, visit the Wyndham Park Redevelopment page on the Wyndham City Council website.
