Dust off the festival boots and dig out the camping gear, The Lost Lands returns to Werribee Mansion this Melbourne Cup weekend.

Started in 2016, this kid-friendly festival was created as a safe and mellow event for families and friends to enjoy. A much more relaxed set up inspired by long weekend campouts, designed to cater for young and old in equal measure. Spread across three days, The Lost Lands offers festivalgoers a magical experience, where families can dance, unleash their creativity and enjoy stellar live performances. Choose to go for the full three days or a single day, camp out with family and friends or not camp at all! Choose your own ideal festival adventure.

Held amongst the stunning grounds of Werribee Mansion, with its castle-like buildings and giant trees – it’s the ideal place for people to relax and enjoy the atmosphere of the festival amid picturesque gardens. The perfect natural wonderland where kids and adults alike can escape their digital screens and connect with each other.

The line-up
The festival offers a diverse program of music, theatre, comedy, workshops and installations. This year’s music line-up offers a great variety of bands, with a mix of festival favourites and contemporary talents including:

Gomez
Holy Holy
Regurgitator
Vika & Linda Bull
Baker Boy
Sampa the Great
and much more.

Family-friendly fun
Of course, what makes The Lost Lands special, is that it caters for kids and adults in equal measure. There’s a huge array of entertainment for kids of all ages across the whole weekend.

The Little Big Top will host some of the finest kids comedy, theatre and circus performers, whilst interactive activities around the site will have your kids bopping, laughing, creating and squealing with delight! There’ll also be things like kids karaoke, family yoga, face painting by children and the bedsheet ghost party! See the full 2019 Arts & Wonder program here.

Parents will also appreciate the inclusion of on-site baby change tents with microwaves and change tables, plus plenty of food options to tickle your tot’s taste buds.

So, if you didn’t already have plans this Melbourne Cup long weekend, get the gang together for an epic weekend of fun at The Lost Lands!

The Lost Lands is happening at Werribee Mansion from November 1 – 3. For tickets and more information, head to the festival website.
