Families have a lot to consider when choosing the ideal place to put down roots. When thinking about building a first home, there are a few common must haves on everyone’s list. For most, good schools that are close by is a high priority.

Orchard Tarneit already enjoys close proximity to early childhood facilities as well as both primary and secondary schools. However, due to the booming nature of the Wyndham City municipality, residents will be pleased with the Victorian Labour Government’s recent investment in the area.

Late last month, Minister for Early Childhood Education Jenny Mikakos announced that early learning facilities would be built at three new schools in Wyndham and Casey. This comes as part of a $9 million initiative in the Victorian Budget 2018/19.

Schools set to receive these early learning centres are Botanic Ridge Primary, Wyndham South (Riverwalk) Primary and Davis Creek Primary in our very own Tarneit.

The new co-located facilities will make pick-up and drop-off times more manageable for parents. The initiative will also help with the adjustment from kinder to school.

Builders will be appointed shortly, and early learning facilities are scheduled to open in Term 1, 2020 at the same time as their schools.

Early learning funding is only the beginning for Tarneit and the Wyndham area. With continued investment into the future, Tarneit is confidently establishing itself within one of Melbourne’s most prosperous areas.
