Hey Dee Ho Music Sessions
Children 6 months – 5 years
Music is such a fun way to interact with your little ones in their earliest years. Not only is it a great way to bond and have fun, it helps them to connect with their emotions and improves linguistic development!
Hey Dee Ho music classes are held at Saltwater Community Centre in Point Cook and are specifically designed for babies, toddlers and preschoolers. The program is enriching and educational, using music, dance, role-playing, puppets and instruments to make for highly entertaining sessions enjoyed by adults and children alike.
A different focus is covered each term, including Auslan sign language, multicultural languages, Sol Fa singing methodology and spatial awareness. With the first class free, why not head along and see what all the song and dance is about!
Rhyme Time in the Park
Children 1 – 5 years
If your kids love to read, this 30 minute storytime session in the park will be right up their street! Held weekly on Tuesday mornings at Wyndham Park, Rhyme Time will have your little one singing and reading along as they soak up the fresh air.
Mini Movers - Little Growling Park
Children 3 – 7 years
Get up and moving with this super fun and free physical literacy program! In these awesome 45 minute sessions, held every Wednesday at 2pm, kids will get to run amuck and enjoy a variety of outdoor sports activities.
Places are limited with pre-registration recommended.
Footy 4 Fun Tarneit
Children 7 – 10 years
Every Victorian kid loves a game of footy! Whether yours is a future AFL star or just loves a kick with mates, this Footy 4 Fun program in Tarneit is an awesome way to let them try out the iconic Aussie sport. This awesome program runs for 4 weeks after school on Wednesdays, with a focus on teaching kids from multicultural backgrounds footy basics.
Bilingual Story Time – Julia Gillard Tarneit Library
Children 13 & under
Each month on Thursday, parents, guardians and kids can come along to Julia Gillard Library in Tarneit for an afternoon storytime session with a difference. Here, kids can hear their favourite books being read out in both English and Punjabi! A brilliant opportunity for parents and grandparents to further their child’s second language in a relaxed after school environment.

Last but not least, one for mums (or dads) and bubs! Bowling with Babies is a program run out of Werribee Bowls Club, aimed at providing new parents with the opportunity to reconnect in their community while getting out and giving an awesome sport like Bowls a try.
It’s not free, but at just $10 a session of $50 for 6 weeks, it’s great value for parents looking to get active, try something different and even make some new friends in the process.
