The lineup was kept pretty hush hush, but all the details for Point Cook’s Day by the Bay have finally been announced! Spoiler alert – a stellar array of local talent will be taking the stage at this year’s event at Point Cook Coastal Park.

The Run Down

You’ll be able to catch heaps of great live music when this free event rolls into town on Saturday 23 March. Songstress Mojo Juju will captivate crowds with her powerful presence. Other prime Victorian talents on offer include The Orbweavers, Jess Ribero and Hexdebt, Leah Senior and Way Dynamic.

There’ll also be a range of delicious food options available to complete your chill day by the beach. Foodie wizards Smoothee Operator, NZ Street Food, Quintessence, Fork Mama, Miss Love-A-Donut and lots more will provide scrumptious eats throughout the day.

Concertgoers will also be able to peruse handcrafted wares made by local merchants like Paper Shoot and Mademoiselle Organic. And as an eco-conscious, single-use plastic free event, local groups dedicated to the conservation of the Bay’s environment will fittingly make an appearance. Institutions who care for the local coastline such as the Victorian National Parks Association and the Dolphin Research Institute will be around to have a chat about their work.

Other Activities

But wait, there’s more! Not just a day of live music, another feature of this year’s Day by the Bay will be an ice carving demonstration. Environmental artist Mark Trinham will be teaching crowds a thing or two about ice sculpting, painstakingly chipping away for 1.5 hours to create a frozen masterpiece. You won’t want to miss this amazing display of craftsmanship!

Limited opportunities will also be available for attendees to participate in a free Learn How to Nature activity. This workshop, run by Carol Challis from Nature Connections, includes a guided beach walk and meditation designed to encourage a stronger connection with nature.
