Summer ain’t over quite yet! The City of Wyndham is seeing the season out in style, with a fantastic array of activities and entertainment including the return of some local favourites as well as exciting new events throughout the City. With music, movies, markets, alfresco dining and more there’s heaps for the whole family to enjoy!

What's on in the City of Wyndham

When: 25 February – 6 March, 8pm – 11pm
Where: Wyndham Park

See Wyndham Park transformed in a whole new light – see it LIT! This free, immersive experience will see Wyndham Park in Werribee City Centre transformed into a glowing wonderland. Visitors will be able to walk beneath trees drenched in colour and marvel at amazing illuminated works that celebrate the natural beauty of this parkland setting.

On the main lawn, expect to see huge sculptures (some up to 5.5 metres tall) of Poodles, Bull Terriers and Dachshunds lit up at the Lost Dogs’ Disco. And over on the West Lawn, attendees will get to explore the world of Lantasia by The Lanternist – a glowing trail of animal sculptures with giant ants, possums and a stunning spider weaving its orb amongst the tree branches.

LIT will be open from 8pm to 11pm each night, with the main entrance from Wedge Street Piazza off Watton Street. You won’t want to miss this out of this world experience!

Children’s Week Picnic

When: Sunday 20 March 2022, 10am – 4pm
Where: Werribee Park

This much-loved free Wyndham City event will return on Sunday 20 March at Werribee Park! Featuring a range of interactive activities with a focus on education and learning, Children’s Week Picnic provides an opportunity for children to explore new experiences.

There’ll be an exciting line-up of activities and performances for little ones to enjoy, including:

  • Polyglot’s Big Boats
  • Interactive performances and workshops including music, hula hooping, science, circus skills, and more
  • A Ninja Warrior style obstacle course
  • Plus the stage will host interactive music performances from The Mudcakes; incredible displays of acrobatics from Circus Trick Tease; music from local singer-songwriters Devy Iyer and Niasha; a BMX tricks show from Scott Hone and sensational Samoan dance & drumming from Tama Tatau.

There’ll also be much-loved favourites including music, games, sport, market stalls and food trucks. With so much entertainment for all ages and abilities, why not plan to spend the whole day at Children’s Week Picnic!

Entry is free however a pre-booked ticket is required. Get yours here from Tuesday 1 March.

Makers and Growers Market

Held on the fourth Saturday of every month from 12pm – 4pm, the Makers and Growers Market features a fantastic selection of textiles, stationery, ceramics and jewellery, along with locally grown produce and authentic culinary experiences. Upcoming markets dates include:

Music Nights

Enjoy live local music in local parks, as you send off the week and welcome the weekend. Catch up with friends, pack a picnic, bring a rug and relax and be entertained by some amazing musicians.

Movie Nights
