March is the month for foodies in Melbourne, with Melbourne Food and Wine Festival (MFWF) running from the 8th till the 24th. Discover some of the best events happening out west and along the coast this year, and start organising your plan of attack!

Eat the Street

Tour Geelong’s best venues and get a taste of the vibrant local food scene. You’ll sample your way through Geelong’s central laneways, trying everything from cake to pasta, BBQ to beer. You’ll also get to meet the geniuses behind each operation.

High Tea Conceptualised

Werribee Mansion Hotel & Spa is an idyllic spot for high tea, perfect if you feel like embracing yesteryear elegance and a scone or two! Settle in amongst the luxury of this landmark estate and enjoy delicate finger sandwiches and sweet treats prepared by Nectar & Stone. Guests will also be treated to bottomless T2 Tea and a glass of G.H. Mumm.

Fromage a Trois Cheese Festival

This festival is the ultimate cheese experience and it’s hugely popular at MFWF every year – for good reason!

The very best local produce and a whole lot of artisan cheese will be on offer, served up in the stunning surrounds of Werribee Park Mansion. Pick a good spot on the lawn and enjoy a leisurely picnic of cheeses, handcrafted beer, wine and cider. Not forgetting entertainment, chefs and cheesemakers will be in action and live music will complete this indulgent event.

Taste of the Great Ocean Road

If you love a good drop, this event is for you.

Provenance Wines in Fyansford is hosting tastings from Friday 15 – 17 March, featuring multiple vineyards from the region. Winemakers from each venue will be on hand to guide you through an afternoon of tastings. Guests will also be treated to a selection of locally made cheese and cured meats that pair with each wine. Provenance will also be providing barrel samplings and a winery tour of their newly refurbished facility.

Scrumptious St Albans – Twilight Market Dinner

Relish the flavours and diversity of St Albans as you sample multiple cuisines on offer at this free street fair.

An assortment of cuisines, from European to Asian, will be available on the night – a truly multicultural celebration!
