ANZAC Day events in Wyndham City

-20.04.18-
Back

Every April 25, Australia pauses for ANZAC Day, to commemorate the lives lost in the 1915 conflict on the shores of Gallipoli, and reflect on the sacrifices made by the men and women of the armed forces in the many years since that fateful day.

Not simply an occasion to mourn, it is also an opportunity to gather in mateship, to pay tribute to the better angels of our nature and the qualities we aspire to most. For those in Wyndham City wishing to participate, Werribee RSL has organised an ANZAC Day March for Sunday April 23, with a customary Dawn Service taking place on ANZAC Day April 25.

The March will begin 2.20pm at Wyndham Cultural Centre, Werribee and conclude with a wreath ceremony at the Cenotaph in Station Place, with light refreshments following the event. Meanwhile, the ANZAC Day Dawn Service commences Wednesday 6.30am at the Cenotaph in Station Place, after which breakfast will be served at the Kelly Park Community Centre.

For further details on both these ANZAC Day events, contact Werribee RSL on 9741 5525.
