An Orchard in your own backyard

It's quite something, bringing an Orchard to life. Now, President of the Werribee Park Heritage Orchard and regular presenter on 7TWO’s Vasili’s Garden, Craig Castree will be revealing a saucerful of horticultural secrets for all budding green thumbs this Sunday February 4.

Discover how you can graft and care for fruit trees in this 90 minute workshop, where Craig will even reveal how you can create an orchard in your very own backyard and how to fit many varieties of fruit on your trees. Craig certainly knows his stuff, and is a massive proponent of people taking their food production into their own hands.

His first book Edible Gardens, available directly from his website, demonstrates how true food security is to be achieved in our back yards. Beyond that, the man is also a cheesemaker, an apiarist and has worked as an educator for the Gordon Institute. Who better to learn from than a master of the art of food cultivation?
