A Blooming Good Weekend at the State Rose & Garden Show

What could be more appropriately spring than a weekend spent amongst the blooms at a flower festival? On Saturday 9 – Sunday 10 November the State Rose and Garden Show is returning for its seventh year, bringing us the perfect combo of beautiful flowers, prosecco and rose-inspired high tea. Plus 5,000 blooming roses for good measure!

Meander through the lush gardens and marvel at vibrant garden displays that span almost 3 hectares! And in between exploring the 5,000+ floral displays on show, you’ll also be able to pick up tips and tricks from expert horticulturalists, peruse pop-up nursery stalls and enjoy guided tours and live demonstrations.

This year’s show also offers a new garden pop-up, offering a delicious new experience each day:

On Saturday, you can head to the wine and beer garden to try craft beers and ciders from Kombi Keg, wine and Roseade Spritzers (rosé lemonade wine spritzers!) from Chirping Bird Wines and American-style eats from Bluebonnet Barbecue.

On Sunday, it’s all about vintage glamour and indulgence. The Prosecco Van will be joining forces with Mrs Baker’s Gin for a rose-inspired high tea by the High Tea Mistress (prices start at $30 and bookings are limited, so book early to avoid disappointment).

And for any little green-thumbed folk attending, there will also be mini posy workshops and kids’ activities, including children’s sandpit and garden craft, with magic wand and pot plant decoration.

Entry to the State Rose and Garden Show is free but you’re welcome to make a gold coin donation to help support the volunteers at the Victoria State Rose Garden.
